Razer blackwidow V3 firmware installer absent from website

as the title says the firmware installer list for keyboards seems to have every type of keyboard razer sells except mine. I have a Blackwidow V3 and stupidly uninstalled the driver to try and fix input lag, under the impression that it would reinstall itself. So after I realised this wasn't the case I tried to reinstall it from the razer website and they have the v3 mini, the v3 pro, and v3 tenkeyless, but not just the standard v3, it's not there. I tried each of the other v3s and none recognised my keyboard, the audio scroll wheel and media control button no longer work because of the missing driver. I'm not sure what do do now.

Sounds like you want the keyboard driver, not firmware. Have you got Razer Synapse 3 installed? Have you done a 'Check for Updates' in Synapse?

Thanks for responding, I have synapse installed, and checked for updates in the about section of settings, where it only seemed to check the updates of cortex and synapse, is there another place to check for updates? because that one showed up all fine

That is the correct spot for updates. How did you delete the driver? Can you try repairing Synapse? Under Add/Remove Programs, find Synapse and select Modify, then repair. Once repaired, reboot.
thanks, I'll try that, I deleted the driver through device manager. Stupid of me I know.

I managed to get to this repairing screen, I assume this is the correct one?
After the repair and restart, the audio scroll wheel worked for around 5 seconds and stopped again, if I look through the device manager the driver still isn't present, I'm currently going to ask the support email and see where that gets me.

Best of luck! FYI - the repair is correct. You could also install the driver yourself from the .inf file. I've attached a pic of where this is located on my machine. The sub folder under the \\Razer folder will probably be different for you, but just open the .inf file until you find one for your keyboard. Then you can right-click the .inf file and select 'install'.

tysm, I found my keyboard, and it all looks similar, but when I right click there's no install option, I'll put another comment with screenshots

Sorry, my bad. When you find the .inf file, you need to right-click on the actual file from Windows Explorer to get the 'Install' menu item (see below screen shot). You only need to open them in notepad to find the correct inf file for your keyboard (which you have above - well done by the way!).

If the above doesn't work, you could also try the following (which was posted on another thread by member FiszPL for another user having driver issues). Heres the steps FiszPL suggests:

  • Uninstall Synapse
  • Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  • Then restart your PC
  • After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

One last thing (lol! sorry for the multiple messages!) - I've noticed some people having trouble with a piece of software called Riot Vanguard, which seems to get installed with a game called Valorant. Riot Vanguard seems to be causing Razer driver issues. They uninstalled Riot Vanguard, and then re-installed Synapse with success.
