This might not be Razer specific but I've done some googling on this and can't figure it out whether this is an issue with my laptop or with Windows.
Recently got a monitor to use with my Razer Blade 15 (model number rz09-02385e71). My ideal setup would be to always have the laptop lid closed and the laptop tucked away underneath my monitor stand.
I'm running into a weird issue where if I wake the laptop from sleep with the lid closed, my external monitor wont wake up/work until i disconnect and reconnect the hdmi cable. However if the laptop lid is open when I wake the laptop from sleep, the external monitor wakes up/works as normal.
It's almost as if there is some behavior where if the lid is closed, when waking from sleep there is no external video output until you prod it by plugging in the cable? I'm really not sure. If I wake it from sleep with the lid closed, then open the lid, it still wont output a signal to my external monitor until I unlpug/replug.
Looking for how to remedy this.

I got this to work by setting my external display as the primary monitor. In the display settings there is a checkbox called "Make this my main display" You need to check that with the external monitor selected above.
