Razer Core V1 plugged in unit no fan or lights is this normal?

    Hi I just bought a used Razer Core V1 TB3, I bought an MSI RX580 and am trying to get it to work on a macbook pro 2014..

    However, my main issue is to see if the used Razer Core works, the MSI is new but core v1 is used. When I plug it in to power there is no indication of this working. I am trying to find out what a Razer is suppose to act like. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it...
