Razer Deathadder Elite Faulty Scroll Wheel

When using my Razer Deathadder Elite's mouse wheel, It will register random scrolls up and down (if I scroll down it will randomly scroll up the page and if I scroll down it will randomly scroll up). This occurs most of the time when scrolling and I've tried uninstalling synapse, reinstalling mouse drivers, and even tried the mouse on another computer but the issue still exists. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? I am still within warranty if this matters.

Hi there! Thanks for posting your concern here. That is odd. When did the issue start? What's your Razer Synapse's version? Does the issue happen while the Razer Synapse is enabled? Does the other computer have a Razer Synapse installed? Should the issue persists, please send me a PM. Let's continue from there.

Update: I managed to fix the issue myself without taking the mouse apart, and thought I'd share my process of how for other users in case they ever run into this issue themselves. What I did was unplug the mouse, spray 100% isopropyl alcohol into the mouse wheel, followed by a lot of vigorous scrolling / scroll clicking for about 5 mins whilst occasionally blowing inside the mouse wheel with compressed air. Left it to dry out over night (although it should be completely dry within an hour if left in a warm dry place). This completely fixed the issue for me, and if anyone else has similar issues then this could fix the issue without the need of sending it back for repair, or taking it apart and potentially voiding your warranty. 🙂
