Early last year I purchased my razer deathadder elite and it has been great since but in the last couple of days it has begun making an awful headphone piercing screech whenever I touch the scroll wheel which makes my work impossible to concentrate on. I have only used this mouse at a clean desk on a razer firefly cloth edition with light to moderate use as I use it for 3d modeling and game design so it hasn't exactly had a hard life. I have kept it looking prestine the entire time and I have always made sure to never eat at my desk so im not usre what could be causing it.
If anyone else has had this issue and has fopund an easy solution which doesnt involve me disassembling it and risk damaging it further that would be great!

Hi there! Can you share a short video of the issue? I'd like to take a look.
is it a squeak or is it actually like a issue where you touch the scroll wheel and your headphones are getting a screech as a result of it? because cleaning it might help if its just a squeak but if its a screech im thinking its a dud product because same thing happened to my long time friend and his got sent back and found to have some inside detached and just slightly touching causing it to play up and sound like dial up internet (painfully loud screeches as you are saying)
Thanks for your replies! The issue is exclusive to my deathadder elite mouse but I was referring to how intrusive this squeak is when using the term headphone piercing. Here is a short video of the issue with my machine powered off: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ylkvkOBSclDVpRub41zZcru9gXHtKoMS/view?usp=drivesdk
Thanks again for your replies!
