Razer Huntsman Elite mute button broken after latest update

Hi,

After the latest Razer synapse update to 3.5.610.60513, the mute button of the razer huntsman elite no longer functions. When pressed, the light ring turns red, the music pauses momentarily, and continues, the light also changes back to the white then resumes the colour scheme I ahve assigned. I have tried mapping the function to play/pause and it also doesn't work and acts in the same fashion.
