Razer Huntsman Mini "Gaming Mode" U-Key LED Discrepancy

Hello,

I recently purchased a Razer Huntsman Mini keyboard, and I love everything about it. I was just wondering about something that happens to its lighting when I get in game and the keyboard enters "gaming mode." If I set my keyboard's lighting to static blue, for example, the "U" key will light up as white in gaming mode, while every other key is blue. When I exit game, or manually turn off gaming mode in Synapse, this discrepancy goes away.

Is this an intended feature, or a bug? Either way, is there a fix for this?

Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

same problem - returned one unit, second unit from the store exhibits the same issue, haven't found any info beyond your post
That is an intended feature.

Fn + U = Enable/Disable Gaming Mode (shortcut key combo)

That is why it lits up as white when gaming mode is enabled.

Thank you for clarifying. I assume that there is no way to disable this light when in gaming mode. I suppose it's sort of a nice feature, but it does interfere with the aesthetics on some of the lighting effects.

Oh wow. Assuming it is an intended feature, it's funny how they gave a replacement without knowing there's no fault :big_grin_:

Unfortunately, you cannot override this feature with Synapse config. It's the only indicator that Gaming Mode is enabled...the same will happen with Capslock (Fn + O) in case you haven't tried it yet.

But yea, I agree with you that it will interfere with the aesthetics
