Razer Kaira Pro Playstation microphone too quiet

Hello, everyone!

I own the Razer Kaira Pro headset in the Playstation version and I'm actually quite happy with it

The only problem that the microphone is extremely quiet.
On the Playstation I can only bypass it by turning up the voice control. I've never had any problems with the console before.

Unfortunately, this does not work on the PC. I have the level set to 100% in Windows settings, but my friends on Discord still don't understand me. Even if they set me to 200% manually, I'm extremely quiet.

When I do a test of the voice recording with the Windows Recorder, I can hardly be heard there and with the Windows recording test I only get 2-7%.

Does anyone know any way how I can get the microphone on the PC louder? I've already contacted Razer Support, but they always want to replace the device, which isn't a good idea since it's not defective. The headset has already been replaced once and the microphone is still too quiet.

I've read through the internet for hours but can't find anything helpful. The headset has the latest firmware and is fresh from production. Other headsets on the PC do not have this problem and since it is a relatively new high-end computer, it cannot be due to poor hardware. Drivers are all up to date and updates from all possible programs are always up to date. I have already tried all USBC points on the PC, but there was no difference.

Does anyone of you have an idea what I can do there? Thanks in advance.

I've also downloaded the Synapse 3 software, but apparently the Kaira Pro Playstation isn't compatible with it.

Are you referring to this model? Make sure the mic is parallel to your mouth with the mic diaphragm in front and the air vent facing away from your mouth. Also, please check the following:

  • Put the mic diaphragm in front and the air vent facing away from your mouth.
  • Turn on mic access on the selected app.
  • Set the device as a Default Recording Device.
  • Adjust mic levels in Windows settings.
  • Please check this video transcript.
