Razer Kraken TE spatial audio SYNAPSE PROBLEM

    Hi..i bought razer kraken TE edition and after two days i have problem which is in synapse audio mixer note is appearing which say "Select THX spatial audio as your default playback device for the best audio experience" altough its set as default 100000%..and application seems not "light up" as they are running if they are running in my backround ,,they are just shady like they were off ...with this nasty bug there is also another thing comming along which is equalizer doenst take effect if this happening so i can change anything there and 0 effect is taking place.
    NOTE : Dont even try to tell me to reinstall synapse since i DID it past two days atleast 7 times as repair / totally fresh install etc and it always fix the problem for a hour - two??? then it randomly do it again and its done ...i am really really fu***g sad about this becouse i never ever had similiar issue with product in this price range.

    Hi @Exorov! Thanks for posting your concern here. Sorry to hear about your headset's behavior. By the way, have you updated your Razer Kraken TE firmware? Please click this link and see if it will allow your headset to update.

    I'm having the same problem but with my Nari headset, they were working perfectly fine a couple of days ago but now synapse doesn't recognize my apps and I have to change manually between THX and stereo on windows sound menu, it's a bit annoying since EQ isn't working either. I have downloaded the firmware you said but I can't go further step 1, it says connect the USB audio controller to the PC and close synapse that's exactly what I do but still doesn't let me advance.

    Hey there! Thanks for sharing your concern here. However, the link that I've provided is intended for Razer Kraken TE models and not for Razer Nari. Please stop using that link as it may brick your headset. Please send me a PM instead together with your Razer Nari's serial number, let's continue from there.

    I've actually been having this same issue with the THX Spatial- Synapse option on my PC, the only game that has working audio with it selected is World of Warcraft Classic, every other game will crash and I can't even get sound from my desktop or anywhere else when using the option. Only Razer Audio Controller- Game/ Chat produce sound for me and I've already confirmed the Firmware as being current on my Kraken TE's

    I've fully reinstalled synapse and the drivers twice in the last 2 months since receiving the headsets and just find it weird that everything works fine unless I select THX in the playback options.

    For me the last synapse 3 update improved the reliability of THX tremendously. You can see when the THX audio channel isn’t working by checking synapse 3. if you see the set as default button under audio -> mixer this means THX audio isn’t working. I always restart my pc until the set as default button is gone. In most cases it works after one restart which takes a couple seconds with an SSD.

    In sound control panel I have 3 channels:
    1. Razer Audio Controller – Chat
    2. Razer Audio Controller – Game
    3. THX Spatial – Synapse

    On my razer kraken TE edition I installed the firmware in the link above and use the latest synapse 3 software. The chat channel is for communication programs like discord and skype this channel should be selected as default communication device. The Game channel is standard system sound which shouldn’t be the default if you want to use synapse EQ. The THX spatial should be selected as your default device.

    Synapse 3 THX audio works 80% of the time which is a big improvement. Hopefully it will improve in further patches so that you don’t have to restart continuously.

    having exactly same problem as @Exorov mentioned. when this happens i check windows event viewer and i see that THXService.exe is giving errors. restarting the service does nothing. another weird thing is if that happens you cannot control the volume anymore and cannot switch to another sound device. the only solution is to sign out/ sign in again and check if mixer section recognizes applications. we need a stable solution

    there has been an update released for synapse3 about 3 weeks ago (~end of nov 2019) . after that update my problem solved. the 3.4.1112.111915 version of synapse3 works fine .
