Razer Phone 2 Security Updates

I really like everything with the Razer Phone 2, but my only concern is how long Razer will provide security updates for the phone. This is the only thing keeping me from purchasing the phone. The price is great right now, but I heard the company has reassigned their cell phone department employees and there may not be a Razer Phone 3. Does anyone know if the phone will be supported much longer? I heard this happened with the Razer Phone 1 and people stopped receiving regular updates less than a year after the phone was released.
