Razer Seiren "X-treme" Static

So I've had my microphone since about June and haven't had any issues until now. Recently, my microphone has been making some extremely ear-piercing static noise. Through the process of elimination, I have been able to determine that it's at least not an issue with the cable. Sometimes if I unplug it and plug it back in, it works fine for a little while but will go back to its static noise. I have considered the possibility that because it is next to my A/C window unit, there's a potential for water damage (which I am PRAYING is not the case). Is there anything else I can try?
