In the first 5 minutes, our tomahawk pc overheats and shuts off!

Have you installed the cooling fan?

Make sure your tomahawk chassis have proper air / water cooling circulation in place.
If you are water cooling your CPU, depending on what CPU you have, the dimension of the radiator is important.
Do you have a chassis dust filter? If chassis dust filter is blocked with dust, you won't be able to bring in cool air.
Find the source of where the heat is being produced the most and apply more cooling.

Are we talking about this tomahawk prebuilt gaming desktop with intel Nuc i9 9980HK? Do you use temperature monitor software so you could claim it an overheat shut down?

Yes, it's the prebuilt desktop. We did not use temperature monitor software, but we are experienced with gaming computers. We'll check it with temperature software to confirm it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Was it overheating? Because I’m having the same problem with my 3080. I’m trying to use my old 1070 and it’s currently working. So I would like to know if it was overheating?
