I've had my Blackwidow for a couple of years now and it's quite fantastic. Most of the time. Lately, sections of it have been going dark. I have to unplug it and replug it to get it to illuminate. The sections that darken are random, but the left side is more likely to do so. I've attached an image of the issue. Yes, it is the ISO version - thank you, my work is half in German, so that's a lifesaver.
I do not lose keystroke function, just lighting. The sections that darken appear to have well-defined perimeters, and there appear to be four sections that can go out.
I'm using it with my Lenovo T14 and the Thunderdock. I will be testing it plugged directly into the laptop now that I have read up a bit. The issue occurs regardless of the type of port (USB with or without power function). I will report back to the thread after some hours of testing on the laptop port. There is some time window that passes from the plugging in - can be from 5 minutes to several hours for it to happen.
edit - this happens when plugged directly into the laptop, also.
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix? I have Synapse on autoupdate.
