Tartarus Pro Duel Function Keys NOT WORKING

I decided to try posting on the forums to see if I could get any help with this issue as I could not find any answers about this anywhere.

Tartarus Pro Duel Function keys Do Not work. I purchased 2 Tartarus pro and the duel function keys do not work on either of them. My wife and I play RPG's together and the Tartarus Pro advertised the duel key functionality with the ability to assign 2 functions to a single Key. With one ability firing off with light presses and the second firing off with full hard presses. This would be good for programing too but it doesn't work because both inputs are actuated on a hard press instead of just the one.

When the duel function is setup, instead it will input both key functions all the time. Same exact issue on both Tartarus'. This makes the Duel Function Option not unusable for gaming because it will keep firing off both abilities at the same times rather than just one or the other.

None of the technicians I chatted with had the hardware in front of them to test and verify which was a bit frustrating. Problem as been escalated but still have no responses.

Please can someone with the Tartarus Pro Verify that the Duel Function Keys are working properly? Where you can assign 2 game abilities with Only One of them firing off on light presses and the second only firing off with hard presses. If you do have a working Tartarus Pro, what game where you playing and which abilities did you test for the duel function key stroke.

(reinstalled synapse dozens of times, tested on several older PC and notebooks and finally on my own Clean install of windows 10 on brand new PC. both units behaving in the exact same way)

This has been on ongoing issue. Please I would like to request for you to please have the Tartarus Pro device in front of you for testing in order to verify the duel function keys are working on your end properly.

No one has verified that the duel Function keys work on this model. I have search the internet high and low for information and found nothing. So please let me know when you have done testing on your end with the actual device in hand.

I just had Angelica from Razer Level II support contact me about Case Number: (Omitted for security reason).

Angelica responses and says:

"Thank you for providing us a video of your concern. For the dual function, its actually going to input the 2 function when you fully press the keys since the input is designed to trigger based on the actuation point."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

That is not the way this device was advertised. It was specifically advertised to be able to fire off one ability or the other dependent on actuation point. It even says so on the razer website for the TartarUs Pro.

This is false advertisement if the function was just suppose to input both abilities at the same time.

I COULD HAVE EASILY MADE A MACRO ON ANY KEY TO INPUT 2 OR AS MANY FUNCTIONS AT THE SAME TIME AS I WANT TO A SINGLE KEY!!

This can not be the resolution. Please escalate this issue to a higher technician please. Would suck if they released the entire product line without this feature working on any of the devices.

Hello,

I just received the 2 new Tartarus Pro's from Amazon last night and was able to do some testing so I just wanted to update this thread.

First test for the first unit was on a clean install of windows 7 and clean install of synapse 3.0 fully updated.
Second test with the second unit on a Brand new PC with clean install of windows 10 and clean install of synapse 3.0 fully updated.

After fully testing the duel function capabilities on both brand new units on both Windows 7 & 10 the results are conclusive. The Duel Function feature on the Razer's Tartarus Pro does not work as intended. All of the units behave in the exact same manner as you saw from the YouTube video with the Primary Function inputting 2-3 times on light presses. The secondary Function is actuated with the primary function inputted first followed by several inputs of the secondary function on hard presses, just as you see in the video.

Waiting to hear back from the Razer team on this issue.
