Unexpected conflict with my gaming style after swapping from laptop to keyboard

Hello,

I recently bought a Razer Ornata and was very happy with the feeling after having played on a laptop my entire life. However, upon booting up the game I have been playing the most recently I realized I wasn't going to be using this keyboard for the foreseeable future due to an unexpected conflict. The conflict stems from 2 main issues, first I am left-handed, and second, the game ff14 is picky about what keys you can use for certain actions. Specifically, it is picky about using combinations of keys that you can use to access additional hot bars. for example, the game allows you to use cntrl+1 in order to activate the 1 key slot on your second Hotbar (1 by itself is the 1 key slot on your first hotbar). ff14 allows you to use cntrl, shift, and alt for this purpose.

Because I am left handed I typically use a mirror keybinding setup which is I rebind my keys in-game so that my equivalent for wasd is pl;'
While on my laptop the set of keys directly right of the space bar are alt and cntrl. This means that I have been been using the alt and cntrl keys to access my alternative hotbars for a while and I have become exceedingly good at the game using this set up. However I now realize as I'm finishing up building my new computer that I won't be able to do that anymore with my new keyboard because the cntrl key is shifted over 2 spaces by FN and another button. Unfortunately I can't rebind FN like the other keys so it looks like to use this new keyboard I'm going to have to re-learn using shift instead of cntrl.

Does anyone have any adivse? Anyone else had a realization like this? Are there work arounds or am I stuck?
