Using a USBC adapter with razer synapse

I have a macbook pro 2019 and am trying to use my razer deathadder with it so I bought a usb c to usb adapter so I could plug in my mouse but for some reason whenever I launch razer synapse it keeps saying "please connect a razer synapse enabled device" even though I have my mouse plugged into the adapter which is connected to my laptop. Does razer synapse not detect devices that are connected via adapters? Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks!

Same issue here with usb-C. Please advise. Just got this mouse and not off to a great start.

Edit: using Baslisk Essential. macOS Catalina. Synapse 1.88.20 (most recent)

2nd Edit: It is in fact detected in macOS (screenshot attached) however Synapse seems to not detect it...????

Same problem here, trying to use a blackwidow elite on a mac Big Sur, synapse not detecting any devices.

why? what the fuck is the point of removing it? I don't use my macbook to play vidya, i use it to work, take classes online and produce. idc about the top button for DPI, i just wanna customize my button control and color scheme & whatever other options there might be - but I can't see it because I have a 2019 macbook pro as well. & Synapse doesn't detect it through my usb c adapter either. I'm gonna check out ur github tho and see if I can get it to work; that's dope man. I'm not too good at that stuff tho so I may have to find help just initially setting it up :| lmao.
