In my observation, gaming mic usually labels themselves had the capability to reach high DPI performance.

A few years ago, I used only the very basic performance mic which only has left and right-click. I changed to my first gaming mouse only since last year and did a lot of research since then.

I tried various DPI setting to try to understand the difference. Turns out, I found that it will be a horrible experience when you choose over 4000+ DPI. It is hard to understand the logic of the mouse manufactory always pursue their gaming mic had the capability to reach such high DPI. You can't even control the arrow mouse cursor.

Also, I would like a do small sample size research of what DPI are you guys currently use?
If more explanation could provide will be much appreciated.

1800 for me but that's just with day to day use on my PC, not gaming.
800 DPI with 1.0 sensitivity multiplier when gaming. 400 DPI is usually to low for me, especially when using the computer for other things other gaming and higher than 800 DPI is too high for me

1600 DPI for daily use, 400 DPI for gaming 😛
Wow, I actually use a high DPI it seems, about 3 to 4k for both gaming and desktop use, perhaps I should look into that....

when I first own the gaming mouse, I tried the DPI in between 3500~4500, after 3weeks. I still not get used to it, it was too sensitive in any kind of game.

Sometimes, it depends on your mouse mat material and the available space for the mouse.
