2 weeks ago I bought the Razer Wolverine TE and absolutely love it. However, whenever I have my headset hooked in, people in party chat or my stream tell me that my voice is incredibly low. After doing some testing last night I realized it started happening once I got this controller. I swapped back to my original xbox controller and the party chat said the sound was much better. I will test with some other headsets as soon as I can.
Is this a common problem??

Is that a third-party headset? Does it have an option to manually adjust mic sensitivity or voice chat volume?
Yes, it's a Turtle Beach Stealth 300. It has a master volume and a mic monitoring control on the headset. I've turned them all the way up/down tried every which way. I've maxed out all settings in the xbox settings also. While troubleshooting, I borrowed my son's hyper x headset that DOES NOT have any mic controls on it and it worked fine.

Are you saying that the Hyper X headset worked fine with Wolverine TE while on the other hand the Turtle Beach Stealth 300 didn't? Is that correct?

Hmm. This could either be a compatibility issue, a bug, or a product limitation. However, what I'm pretty sure of is that your Wolverine TE is doing just fine. If in-game adjustments don't work, then I highly suggest sticking with the more compatible headset.
