Wolverine V2 - USB-C issue - design flaw?

Ok, so I'm having this issue on two different Wolverine V2 Chroma controllers. The way that the USB-C connector is designed/made allows it to slightly wiggle from side to side when using the controller.

This has been causing the controllers to disconnect from the PC/Console during use. Very frustrating when playing games that don't pause, like Destiny 2 or The Division 2.

If the controller had a "lip" around where the connection was, or a recessed port like the Wolverine Ultimate, then this wouldn't happen, as the cable would be held in place more securely.

I guess this would be a "fix" implemented in V2.5 or V3.0 of the series, as it would take changing the controller housing, which means a manufacturing change...
