The Huntsman V3 Pro always creates a virtual “Xbox 360 Controller for Windows” device, even when no keys are set to gamepad emulation. This virtual controller takes the first XInput / player 1 slot, so games pick up the keyboard instead of a real controller. In my case, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer wouldn’t recognize my wired DualSense until I disabled the virtual controller in Device Manager.
Synapse has no visible setting to turn this device off. Most users would never think to blame their keyboard when a controller isn’t detected.
Requested:
- Add a setting in Synapse to fully disable gamepad emulation and remove the virtual Xbox controller.
- Only create the virtual controller when at least one key is actually mapped to gamepad emulation.
- Make sure Synapse and driver updates don’t re-enable it after the user has turned it off.
