I am using the pro type wireless mechanical keyboard. And I already click the box of "switch off lighting when display is turned off" but the keyboard light is still on after the pc is off.

I have a Huntsman V2 and I'm having that issue as well.

My keyboard shuts off for a little while after shutting my computer down but at some point the keyboard's chroma turns back on and starts cycling through the colors.

My possible guess with the wired device is, is that your RAZER peripheral is connected to a USB powered port.

I'll try explain; some motherboards have capability to deliver a small proportion of wattage of electricity so that USB ports can be used to recharge your phones even if the PC is off.

Even though PC is off, your PSU unit is still drawing power from your wall.

So to fix this, you either have to~~~

  • Switch off the power from the wall
  • Switch off the PSU to stop drawing power from the wall

With wireless devices, the lighting is cycling through using the battery power from its peripheral.

Since Synapse 3.0 is not running, RAZER peripheral lighting is designed to cycle through the colors; which is normal.

But since the keyboard is using the battery power even though the PC is off, I think your peripheral firmware needs an update.

Did any of this work? I’m having the same issue with my board, I looked for a firmware update but there isn’t one for the huntsman TKL, unless the link that says firmware update for huntsman would be the same
I assume if I shut off my computer at the strip or sever power entirely the keyboard shouldn't light up still. But it's still coming on when I shut my computer down. Sometimes it's 2 hours and other times it's 6 hours after. So something is happening in my PC when it's shut down that is triggering the USB to start sending power to things.

But other than that I havent' worried about it because it seems like this isn't a fault in my keyboard.
