Keyboard cord extension

I'm trying to pick a Razer keyboard and have heard that wired keyboards are better, but I would like to be able to sit on my couch or lounge on my bed while gaming - is it possible to use a keyboard cord extension without loosing keyboard functionality? I tried to find this out online (google search) and there was this one website that said it could increase lag time, or that if the cord is too long, the keyboard might not get enough power. For reference, I'm thinking of getting the Huntsman Elite. Thanks!

I'd not exceed 5m (total cable length) - for the lag - I'd not bother with it - it's still cable. You can try for eg. this one: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cable-Male-Female/dp/B00NH12O5I (or shorter).
