I got back into Razer again recently, and my keyboard is a little aged. Just wondering if the Blackwidow v2 TE is based on the old switches or the new ones.
Currently using Oranges. Also looking at the new https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow

I upgraded to the Blackwidow Elite Green switch mechanical keys from the membrane ones of the Cynosa Pro keys and oh i have to say it was a really big upgrade.
The response time and clicks on the BWE's are amazing and top class!
I love playing more of the FPS games and typing now. :smile_:

Opto-mechanical switches for the win as they are immune to chatter which is found in traditional switches.
I think current Razer implementation for the opto-mechanical switches are the "Razer Purple" switches used in Hunstman series keyboards.
They are very light and clicky, perhaps you might want to try them...

The new purple switch is by far my favorite. There is a slight click sound, but not as obnoxious as the green switch, and it feels incredible to type on. I haven't had the chance to try yellows yet, so I can't factor them into my experience. I used to only use orange switches, but now I'm a die-hard fan of the purple.
