MacOS Catalina and my BlackWidow Chroma

I've been using my BW Chroma forever and it's still a great keyboard. Since I loaded MAC OS Catalina, my Macros and other programability have stopped working. I don't even see the devices in Synapse unless I disconnect and reconnect. When I do they show up and I see my customization but it still doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling Synapse, no change. Any suggestions? Is anyone successfully using synapse with Catalina?

Hi Dray_Prescot, The macOS is generally compatible with Razer Synapse 2 only. You can visit this link for more details. I saw someone posted before about uninstall Synapse 3 and Synapse 2 will work with BlackWidow Chroma as well with it. However, Synapse 2 currently doesn't support Catalina and don't have any info yet as to when the OS will be supported.

Thanks, I believe I am using synapse 2. I downloaded Synapse 2 and ran the installer. It looks identical to what I was using before and has the same version number. 1.87 I believe.

I guess you will need to wait for them to make it works. Or downgrade the Mac version. Hehehehe...:wink_:

Hello @Dray_Prescot, along with this post here you can also have a word with the Razer support to see if they can help throw some light about the Mac OS and Synapse sync/compatibility issues.

I've submitted a ticket to Razer Support because I am having similar issues. I haven't heard anything, other than an acknowledgement of my ticket, back.

Synapse 2 is likely a 32-bit application, and macOS Catalina only supports 64-bit ones. As such, the program would likely need to be completely rewritten for proper support. Hate to say it, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.
