I just bought my very first (and most definitely my last) Razer product - Ornata v3 X. I was unable to try it before buying it, but I figured that it should be good considering the brand. Big mistake! Unfortunately I can't return it due to the store's policy, so I guess I'll be stuck with it for a while
That thing feels and sound cheap as hell. The box says “silent membrane switches”, but guess what! There's nothing silent about this keyboard. While it doesn't make the typical “mechanical keys” noise, it still makes annoying “cheap plastic keys” kind of noise while typing.
Another bummer is the software that’s supposed to let you customize it. It was pain in the backside to install the Synapse and the Chroma stuff with constant “failed to install” error messages. Eventually they got installed and even though I was able to run them, none of them had any effect on the keyboard. They “see” it, but wouldn't apply any changes I made. Tried and restarted my laptop, and now those wont even start. Re-installed both of them and they still wont run.
I guess I should consider myself lucky for not wasting money on a more expensive Razer product/s.
