Pressing FN + Pause puts my pc into hybrid sleep

I m using the Ornata v3 X. An option I'd really like is using the sleep mode on the keyboard, but when I press the combo the the pc just like turns off, no amount of key pressing turns it on. Even tried the power button and it did nothing. I cut the power supply off my pc on the back of it and thats how I could start it and it loaded back up into the things I had opened. Did I not read something or what's happening? Thanks for any comments/replies.

That sounds like a "Deep Sleep" conflict where your PC is getting stuck in a power state it can't wake up from. If you have to flip the PSU switch on the back, your PC is essentially crashing during the sleep transition.

Try these steps to fix the connection between your keyboard and Windows:

  1. Disable Fast Startup: Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" and uncheck 'Turn on fast startup'. This is a common culprit for sleep bugs.

  2. Update BIOS/Drivers: Sometimes this is a motherboard firmware bug that gets patched in later versions.

  3. Device Manager Check: Right-click the Start button > Device Manager. Find your Ornata under "Keyboards," right-click it > Properties > Power Management. Ensure "Allow this device to wake the computer" is checked.

  4. Check BIOS (ErP Ready): If your BIOS has a setting called "ErP", try disabling it. When ErP is on, the motherboard cuts all power to USB ports during sleep, meaning the keyboard literally can't send the "wake up" signal.

Hopefully, one of those saves you from having to reach for the PSU switch every time! 😁
