Purpose of On-device Profiles

Hi,

I wonder what the purpose is of the “on-device profiles”. My expectation is that I’m able to store the configuration (key mappings / lighting configuration) on my keyboard so that I can plugin my keyboard in another computer and be able to use and make changes to these stored profiles.

Instead what happens is that I only see the labels of the profiles on another computer but all configuration (in Synapse) is gone. When I connect my keyboard to the previous computer the configuration is back.

Does this possibly only work with Cloud Storage? Are the “on-device profiles” only a fancy label?

Or am I doing something wrong?
