razer blackwidow v4 75 backspace sound issue

I just picked up a blackwidow v4 75 and the backspace is making a click sound every time I press on it (doesn’t really make the sound if I press slowly). I have swapped out the switches and keycaps for my own and I tried to apply some tape on the back to deepen the sound a little more but it didn’t really work so I took it out. I also tried lubing the stabs a bit, but I don’t think they’re the issue. I feel like it’s the piece of black tape on the back of the pcb that’s making the sound, but I want to be sure before I take it out.
