Razer Huntsman Elite - Problem with peeling skin on the pad

They don't sell or offer a replacement that has the RGB, I just taped it over with black duct tape.

It appears this is a known defect with the product, if you look at the reddit forums and other people with similar issues (including myself) the peeling all appears to be on the left side at the bottom of the wrist rest. You'd think with a removable wrist rest and the price point they charge for the keyboard they would offer a proper solution to fixing this issue rather than suggest buying another of their products. All that says to me is to purchase a different product in the future rather than Razer.
