Razor Ornata v2 Keyboard programming outside Synapse

Can the Ornata v2 lighting be programmed outside of Synapse? I was given this keyboard as a brand new Birthday gift like 2 years ago and it just sat on my desk until tonight. I tried to use it on my Windows 7 16 bit machine and it seems to function just fine. The only issue of course is that I cannot install the Synapse application onto it to program and modify the lighting effects etc. Is there an alternative to doing this, maybe even 3rd party software, since Razor is too lazy to make these devices compatible with a 16 bit system for us old timers that want to continue using a 15 year old system that works just fine?
