Repair/replace cable on Huntsman Elite? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hi all,

I have a new puppy that was left unattended too long and chewed through the cable on my huntsman elite keyboard. I did try Razer support chat and they said that they don't sell any replacement cables for this keyboard. Does anyone know if this is something I might be able to repair myself or if I'm pretty much stuck buying a new keyboard?

Thanks!
The cable on the Huntsman Elite isn't exactly removable so there really not much that I can offer. The next best thing that I can do is to move this to the Keyboards Section. Hopefully, our keyboard enthusiasts can point you in the right direction.

You are pretty much stuck buying a new keyboard.

Joking of course 🙂 There are only 4 wires in it. Expose them with the help of a sharp blade, rewire them and then finally insulate them by the help of an electrical tape.

Or you can always get it done by an electricity technician. It's simple procedure.

If cable somehow is too short or too much damaged in multiple spots, you can always use an undamaged USB cable to replace the major damaged parts... Just pay attention on wiring the correct wires. Again, there are only 4 wires in it...
