I will preface this post by listing everything I have done to troubleshoot this issue, including buying a brand new Pro AND THEN having that pro replaced with another pro after contacting customer service:
Previous tartarus v2, then new Pro AND NOW replacement Pro have experienced unplayable lag when keymap swapping for several months now, starting any time a game is launched. Issue requires unplugging and reinserting the device every time after starting a game for it to return to a properly functioning state. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Issues are actually worse with the pros, if that’s believable! The pros sometime outright wipe my current keymap after games start.
I have attempted (in rough order)
-Bought a new device
-Different usb ports.
-Deleting profiles and creating new profiles.
-Disabling its recognition as a 360 controller so steam no longer recognizes it as such (with a computer restart after disabling it)
-Disabling various parts and combinations of its drivers and restarting the computer after EVERY attempt.
-Tried completely uninstalling all of its drivers, with a computer restart.
-Uninstalling and reinstalling synapse twice with computer restarts after each. (at different times during my personal troubleshooting)
-Contacting customer support, sending my brand new, less than a week old pro in, waiting almost 2 weeks for a replacement and… what would you know, same problem!
I KNEW. I ABSOLUTLYE KNEW it wasn’t the device and was the software that was the problem. I’m tired of this shit. This only started sometime earlier this year and it’s made using my tartarus extremely frustrating. I knew I shouldn’t have trusted a new device to work, and I knew I should have taken my chances with something like from azeron and gotten my money back so long as my old v2 still functions.
I’m posting this here for furture reference to others that might be searching for help about this issue - You’re not alone! I will definitley have to see about getting my money back. I’m done with razer until they fix their shit… which will probably be never. All I needed was for things to continue fuctioning by swapping between two keymaps, and that’s became a constant nusiance and thorn in my side, reminding me daily, even numerous times a day that things are not functioning properly.
