I recently purchased a Razer huntsman mini special edition for 100 dollars and as soon as I plugged it in the colors were all funky and messed up. I downloaded like 100 different Razer apps people on YouTube told be to download and it don't do Jack shit. It changes colors like it's rainbow. But the U key stays white. For 100$ i should have it working out of the box. Someone please help me fix this problem I don't wanna bring it back it's a really nice keyboard

It means, that gaming mode is enabled.
To disable it click FN + U.

im having the same problem where my u key is a different color and when i press fn my m key is a weird color aswell, pressing fn u and fn m do nothing

I had the same issue. Just open synapse>keyboard>customize and manually change “gaming mode” to off; should have a drop-down menu with several options.
is there a way you can have game mode on and dont have the white U
it did not help me my u key is lit up i hit fn + u and nothing changes any help?
on top of that when its lit up i cannot use my windows key
note to all i fixed it i just turned off game mode in razer synapse

Hello, I have black widow v3 tkl green switches, bought it 2 weeks ago, and my “=“ button is different colour from the others. If I use the normal effects it’s all good, but when I use chroma app, in my case wallpaper engine, the whole keyboard is white-pinkish colour(as the wallpaper) except the “=“ button which is blue. The interesting thing is sometimes it is the right colour for 5 min and then goes again on blue. What could be the problem?
My FN and - are stuck in the greens and blues, but reds don’t work (I use the fire-effect with pink and white, my FN and - are stuck in blue. I can turn it off by setting it black, white is automatically blue. I’ve tried everything, factory reset etc, all my settings are okay, there’s no macro binded to those keys either.
It’s annoying, but I learned to just accept and move on. It’s a borked LED I can’t fix.

Hi, I tried the wallpaper on other razer keyboard(razer huntsman elite) and the problem was still there. The "=” button was lighting from time to time blue(even tho there is no blue in the wallpaeper), but it was not like on my blackwidow. So i concluded that the problem comes from the wallpaper and mooved on. I hpe you can find a solution for your problem too.
Oh, I have the tournament Huntsman, forgot to mention that 😅
I tweaked the settings in the Chroma Studio, that’s how I discovered that the reds in those two keys are borked and don’t regonize reds.
It doesn’t bother me that much though, the keyboard itself it very good, and I dont think I have warranty anymore to fix it anyway. I’ll live.

So, I turned off gaming mode IN SYNAPSE and its still stuck to the white U and I’m genuinely stressing out over this. 😭
