A Question about the Durability of Razer Mice


So I have been experiencing some problems lately with my Naga Trinity mouse, and it relates to both mouse buttons (mouse 1 & 2), and the problem has been consistent for the past six to seven months between two mouses (of the same model, the first one was replaced free of charge after five-six months into normal use). Being more specific about the problem between both mice, the mouse buttons work inconsistently, be it short taps or long holds of the left mouse button. The replacement (second mouse) I have now seems to be experiencing the same problem with the right and left mouse button. Keep in mind my use has been responsible and normal. No drops, no spills, just normal clicking. So I have a question to anyone who owns a Razer mouse. Is this normal? Am I expected to purchase a close to $100 mouse every half-year or so? Is this a problem specific to this brand? Did I win the unlucky lottery for two defective mice? P.S I plan on contacting support later today, even though I doubt my warranty is valid given the first mouse I have was already replaced. Maybe I might be lucky and can get this replaced, again. It's a shame because I both like the utility of the Naga Trinity, having multiple programmable buttons on the side with a fairly good software (synapse) to go with it.

it's been 5 years now using deathadder elite and no issues whatsoever maybe clean it ?

I've had my deathadder elite for just over a year and I haven't run into any major issues yet.

Wish I could clean it, though unfortunately there's no obvious way to disassemble the mouse and clean under the buttons in case some filth got in there somehow.

It's not normal behaviour. My 1st Razer (Copperhead Tempest Blue) is working till now, 1st DeathAdder 1800 DPI - replaced faulty microswitch after 7 years of use. If you still have warranty - RMA it, if not - I'd dissasemble it, and replace microswitches (requires some soldering skills, but it's cheap and fairly easy to do).
