Question

After waking up from sleep, the scrolling settings are applied with a delay

BottleGreenrushdepot544

Hello there. I recently purchased a RAZER Naga V2 Pro. Generally, I really like this device but there is one issue. I use the mouse in bluetooth mode for battery saving purposes. But every time the mouse awakes from sleep, for the first 2-3 seconds something strange happens with the scroll wheel. It either becomes very stiff and requires massive force to scroll, or alternatively there's absolutely no resistance when scrolling. After 2-3 seconds the scrolling settings are applied to the ones I set in Synapse. In other words, the movements of the mouse awaken it but the scrolling settings are applied with a delay. If I switch to 2.4 ghz mode, this problem goes away, but I would still like to use bluetooth to not charge as often. Basically, I could set the maximum sleep mode to 15 minutes but event that is sometimes not enough. It may seem like a trifle, but every time you step away from the computer and pick up the mouse, you experience these unpleasant feelings. Has anyone else encountered this?

I’ve had this problem too. It’s super strange to me, especially considering that the scroll directions are supposedly stored inside the mouse’s internal memory (and not, like some other specific commands, only possible while Synapse is running). I have a Basilisk Ultimate and this honestly drives me nuts. It’s just a little thing, but for an $80 mouse to run into this when other, cheaper mice don’t is a bit upsetting.

I just tried swapping out the default commands with macros (which are just programmed to scroll up or down) but that didn’t work either. It must be the mouse, in some way, that is having to wake itself up to it’s own commands. I went ahead and tested to see if any of my other macros and buttons commands work after wake and it seems that they don’t. Not sure how Logitec is doing it, but Razer seems to not know how. At least, not for those first 3 seconds or so.
