Basilisk V2 Wired - Scroll wheel jumpy, skipping, and shuddering

Bought by Basilisk V2 Wired from BestBuy in Aug 6, 2020 Scrolling on any application, browser, games, text-editors on multiple machines:
  • scrolling experience is shuddering, very unstable
  • Text editor or browser example:
    • If I am scrolling at a consistent speed in one direction, page will scroll at the same direction for a bit, stop, scroll opposite direction, then stop.
  • repeat multiple times, does not behave the same but either ignores scrolling action, jumpy, or shudders.

Also, this issue didnt really show up until end of October ~ 2.5 months after owning. I have since switched to a different mouse, but I would like to get this one fixed since it wasnt a cheap mouse

I'd try with can of oxygen, and try to blow air into the mouse. Probably some dust causing scroll wheel encoder errors. If this will not work, RMA it.

You probably tried this already, but does increasing the resistance of the scroll on the bottom of the mouse help? Just so it's more of a defined click
