Clean cat fur from scroll wheel? | Razer Insider

We have long-hair cats. The fur gets into the wheel and makes it hard to use. Tweezers and toothbrush take a long time to clean the fur out. Is there a better way?

It would seem your cat is mistakenly using the mouse wheel as a scratch post?
It seems to be picking the fur up from the mouse pad. I'm still looking for how to take the wheel out...

sure must be a very fluffy cat. Long coat~~~

I had a long coat chihuahua once; the fur he leaves behind sure gets the vacuum rolling~
Actually two of them. Persians.

whats your model ?
Atheris. Thought I'd said that before....
I thought, that @-Mr.Nobody- was asking about your persians model xD

As Atheris doesn't have "closed" scroll on top, so you'll have easier access to scroll wheel, than other mouses. I'd try with "sticky cleaning gel" - like this one.

yes u did, it was my bad 😣 i knew u said it, somehow i just forget about that. Sorry anyway, from this video its not too hard to disassemble the mice, theres few screw around the mice just unscrew them and u need some flat tools to pop out second layer of the mice just carefully when u doing it coz there are some part that attach to another part from inside "hope that make sense"
Unfortunately, the video above shows nothing about getting the wheel out. The problem is that the cat fur get wound around the wheel axel and binds it up. So far, the only way we've been able to continue using the mouse is by using tweezers to pull the fur out a little bit at a time. I would really like to be able to pull the wheel out and just remove the fur....

not sure how am i should describe this but, for the wheel all u need is to pull both side of the wheel holder together and remember not too hard otherwise u will break the wheel holder, hope that make sense
