If you don't know if it's hardware or software issue just test it on other computer. As an IT Pro I saw MANY things, that mouse/keyboard/other peripheral doesn't work on one PC, but does on another. If you have 100% confidence, that your mouse is deffective, just RMA it, because you have warranty, right?

Indeed I tried it on Windows PC and exactly the same, it cannot be that in a month a mouse is spoiled, it had been 9 years with the DA 3.5 and 0 problem, what happened with the quality or was it just a 1 in 1 problem million
