Do I need the charging dock?

I'm looking to buy either a Basilisk or a Deathadder, I'm not a fan of charging docks, so I wonder if I could charge the Mice just with the regular USB -without the charging dock?

    I own a Basilisk ULT, you can use the USB cable to recharge the mouse. But I prefer charging dock, because removing the cable back and forward gets annoying. And cable can get damaged if removed improperly.

    Thanks! I travel a lot so an extra accessory is something to think about.
