i have been wondering if i bought a mouse with the wireless charging puck would it be able to charge from mousepads with wireless charging?

Unfortunately no, because many mouse pads(for ex. Logitech PowerPlay) don't have Qi charging, which means that they aren't compatible with razer mouse. But I hope Razer will sell charging mousepads in future and I think many people would buy it.

QI charging is the key - ANY QI charger……even the ones for phones.  There are mouse pads with built in but they are stupidly expensive for what they are. 

I picked up several from Ikea and they work well.  Not expensive either.
