Hey guys,

So, this is driving me nuts. I’m using my Basilisk V3 Pro on the Firefly V2 Pro, and there’s this weird grinding/rattling noise coming from the Slider Switch area every time I move the mouse. It’s not a click, it’s more like plastic rubbing or a tiny loose part vibrating when I glide it from A to B.

From Master Guide

Here’s the setup:

  • Mouse: Razer Basilisk V3 Pro (RZ01-04620)
  • Pad: Razer Firefly V2 Pro (RZ02-0492)

I used to run the Basilisk V3 26K on the exact same pad, and it was dead silent. Zero issues. So I’m pretty sure it’s not the pad itself, but something specific to the V3 Pro’s build or how these two interact.

Already done the basics:

  • Cleaned the pad and wiped the mouse down with a dry cloth.
  • Checked the skates — they’re clean and smooth.
  • Updated firmware for both the mouse and the pad in Synapse to the latest version.

If it’s a hardware thing, I’d rather RMA it now. If there’s a fix (like tightening something, changing grip pressure, or even swapping the side panels), hit me up.

Also, if you need to hear the sound to figure it out, I can upload a short video clip.

Thanks in advance, appreciate any tips!
