Help! Razer Naga X disconnects 2 seconds every time it is plugged in!

Hello everyone, I am a long time Naga user (since the original naga) and before that I had the original dearhadder. Every razer mouse I had lasted me at least 2 years, some lasted 5. I recently purchased razer naga x from amazon. After connecting it to my PC, I found it disconnecting every time I plugged it in,  works for 2 seconds then disconnects completely. Tried everything; including deleting and reinstalling synapse, changing the USB port, using it on other computers,. to no avail.  Is there any fix?

Same issue a half year ago it worked but still sometimes disconnected (i used it only in WoW). Now i wanted play again with the Mouse and the issue got even worse now it does connect/disconnect connect/disconnect connect/disconnectconnect/disconnect everytime. And there is no support for that mouse i think its a software problem. But i think you can give it to the trash because razor dont support that mouse anymore because they want you to buy the new one. saddly that i feel into this trap and i will buy the new one because i think it will work. And i think they should get us a coupon or something because i play with razor tools (sounds weird) since i have a PC and i LOVE the Hardware from them. Even thow i do stream small but i do and i make under the radar commersial for them so please send me and this sad guys that bought this mouse something. You have my Streamer Mail allready so go on!!!

This is a freakin trap. Everything works fine until they release a sudden update and after I updated, I cannot use my naga X normally

Yea mine stopped working as well. I bought it on Amazon years ago to replace my Naga Epic from like 2007 or something like that, but I didnt like how sensitive the side buttons were.  Now I need a back up mouse and it wont work at all. Saw somewhere to disable the LEDs which would make it work but Synapse wont detect it. Mouse just flickers pink, and its practically BRAND NEW. I am VERY disappointed in Razer and will not be buying their products again after this. I’m switching to Logitech. I work at a Dispatch Center where many of my coworkers have Razer keyboards and will be letting them know as well. Super shameful.

Prior to the update, my mouse was functioning normally on any computer without the need for Synapse. However, post-update, the mouse disconnects every 2 seconds and becomes unusable.
Here are the details of the issue:

  1. Mouse Model: Razer Naga X
  2. Issue: Mouse disconnects every 2 seconds, not detected by PC or Synapse, and stops working after 2 seconds of being plugged in.
  3. Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
  • Tried using the mouse on multiple computers (5 in total) with the same result.
  • Connected to another 2 PCs, still experiencing the same problem.
  • Tried different USB ports, rebooting the PCs, but the issue persists.
  • Searched for firmware updates or fixes but could not find any solution.

This problem renders the mouse completely unusable. I received the mouse as a gift yesterday, and this issue began immediately after the update

Same issue here, for no reason after plugging it works for 2 seconds the in stops, there is no support for help and i also have other expensive razer equipment, i guess its time to move to more stable brands like corsair

Can you imagine spending $150 and not even receive any accountability form the brant, this is insane

use the 2 seconds you have of it connected to be in Synapse app
And than cancel the RGB lights
than the mouse would stop dissconnecting

I came here with the same issue and this actually fixed it, thank you sir!

For clarification: Be ready to click on your mouse name as soon as it apears, then hit the “lighting” tab and turn off “brightness”

Yeaa… I got the same issue today.
Rest in ‘Piece’ my Razer Naga X
[25 Dec 2022 - 06 Oct 2025]

My Razer Naga X now has been bricked completely with only 1 second connection and weak blinking pink RGB light, not even a chance to disable the RGB. Power failure I guess, so I’d just dismantle it for science.
It’s not even worth as decorative RGB light anymore 😕

It really gives me a big trust issue with Razer’s reliability as luxury gaming device brand, surely my Naga X click was still working just fine and the casing is durable unlike my previous Logitech G600, but power failure in a a wired mouse is so silly, even my G600 is still working as a mouse despite the double click issue.

Of course, I understand business need repeat order to survive.. but “for a luxury class products like Razer to kills basic function just to enforces sales made Razer as just an expensive fragile product that’s not worth to buy”

From now on, I won’t ever buy anything from Razer again due to their idiotic planned obsolescense policy with bad market positioning. Thanks God I only bought Razer Naga X and Pro Type Ultra so far so the lost is not that big. Now that I think again, I should have just bought another Logitech G600 or try Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite back then, even my Logitech G304 and Logitech Pebble that I bought before Naga X are still working just fine with a fraction of Razer Naga X’s price tag.

n.b. I don’t like badmouthing like giving bad review behind Razer back, so I’d just be a gentleman and put this bad review in Razer Insider website instead.
