Lighting profiles not saved to onboard memory

I'm annoyed by the same issue with my Basilisk Ultimate and because I'm using a mac I installed https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos to change the light. Surprisingly this app seems to save the lighting profile onboard. I changed the lighting to static white and quite the app (checked no background process running), the lighting keeps working, also works when connect to different computer/switching profiles.

So this essentially proves it's not a hardware limitation. If only there were a Windows version of that app! Perhaps I can find someone with a Mac so I can set up my lighting profiles. Unbelievable this isn't available on PC in the official software. Thanks for bring this app to my attention. Might even be able to work something out with a Mac virtual machine.

I have the same issue too. I was wondering Synapse wrote:

• Quick effects are presets that can be saved to a device's profile and synced with other supported Razer Chroma-enabled devices

I chose Wave which is one of the preset but it wasn't working on another PC without Synapse. Can anyone explain this? Many thanks.

After looking into the Razer MacOS software lin33274 mentioned, I found a similar app for PC called OpenRGB. One of the developers for this software is currently implementing compatibility with the Basilisk V3. However, your peripheral may already be supported. Sorry to ask here, but I tried to choose "Wave" as the lighting, and the lighting did not changed. I can choose the direction and brightness too, but the mouse did not respond. I run OpenRGB with Admin rights, did I miss something else? Thank you.

Hi Inoran, it might be better to ask on the software page. I just tried wave and it's working fine for me. Did you make sure the Basilisk was selected from your device list on the left? I downloaded this version. It's newer than the official branch which hasn't implemented the Basilisk V3 yet - https://gitlab.com/Dr_No/OpenRGB/-/jobs/artifacts/2007/download?job=Windows+64 Also note, saving to onboard memory isn't supported yet, but your mouse will remember the last lighting effect used in OpenRGB. It will reset when your computer is restarted too.
