Looking for the same Matte-black finish plastic for my next mouse

Hi All,

I wanted to know if there is any gaming mouse at the moment, that has the same built quality the old “Razer Mamba 4G (2012)” had - meaning the Matte-Black smooth plastic finish on top ? (it was very smooth and pleasant to touch, and always felt like a colder touch than other plastic materials)

All the new models I saw have a rough plastic on top, providing more grip for sure, but feel less comfortable on the hand :)

Thanks in advance ^^

Cobra Pro kinda feels like it has that matte plastic on it somewhat and it could be right up your alley as its got 3 connection types, that being USB-C Wired (the USB port in the mouse is the USB-C part), 2.4GHz HyperSpeed Wireless and Bluetooth Wireless, AND it has all the RGB flair too. The Cobra Pro is also compatible with the Mouse Dock Pro which is a neat thing if you decide to get one.

I will give you a fair warning that it may not be suitable for larger hands tho as its size is a medium to small sized mouse compared to what the Mamba shape is that you’re used to.

Razer discontinued the Mamba Mice lineup for a few good reasons about 2-3yrs ago because they were notorious for having issues with the sensors n whatnot and Razer just didn’t wanna really deal with it no more.

Wow, thank you so much for the fast and detailed reply !

After visiting a few IT/electronic stores, I could not find any Razer mouse with that type of finish, and was about to give up hope... x’D So, this makes me very happy!

My hand isn’t that big (17.5cm), so I’m thinking the Cobra Pro would just be perfect ^^

Thanks again LiLmEgZ ! :)

Yup, just be sure you update the firmware on the Cobra Pro right away when you get it unboxed and hooked up to the computer because the Cobra Pro (and some others) just recieved a huge major firmware upgrade on November 6th which truly enhances the experience further with the mouse because Razer includes some nice fixes and enhancements to it. To my knowledge, the Cobra Pro mice that are on the shelves right now were shipped with the original release firmware onboard the device, so updating the firmware to the latest version is a super crucial step to do after purchase of the Cobra Pro to have the best possible experience with it.

P.S. Be sure to temporarily disable any AntiVirus software to do the firmware updates as these can conflict with Razer’s Firmware Updater programs.
