Middle Click Not Working on Viper V2 Pro (Tested on Multiple Devices – Microsoft Support Referred Me)

Hi Razer Support,

I'm experiencing an issue with the middle-click (scroll wheel click) on my Razer Viper V2 Pro — the scroll function works, but clicking the wheel does not register.

I've spent hours working with Microsoft Support, and they helped me thoroughly test my system. After system repairs, driver reinstalls, and multiple tests, they concluded it is not a Windows issue and advised me to contact Razer directly. Their exact recommendation was:

“You may need to reach out to Razer for them to check and configure the mouse settings under their app, and contact the game developer as well for them to provide you additional options.”

Here’s what I’ve already done:

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Razer Synapse

  • Factory reset profiles

  • Tried the mouse on 2 different laptops

    • One laptop had the same issue

    • The other didn’t seem to show the problem

  • Tested with and without Synapse

  • Used third-party tools like X-Mouse Button Control

  • Confirmed Windows recognizes the device as a mouse

  • Tested a second Razer mouse and had similar problems

Given all this, I believe the issue may be tied to either:

  • A hardware or firmware issue on the mouse

  • Or a setting within Synapse that needs to be adjusted

I've used Razer gear for years without problems, so this has been frustrating and disappointing. I’d really appreciate your help with reviewing the mouse settings or moving forward with a warranty process if necessary.
