Mouse Scroll Razer Viper (corded)
Hello everyone, I have the first version of the corded Viper (RZ01-0255) and the scroll, both up and down is bad, and I mean VERY bad. No I do not have Synapse installed, reason is on this post...

I was wondering, is there a way to update a driver or anything to help this issue. When I scroll down, it scrolls up 2-3 times, scroll up, same thing. All this skipping around is getting to the point of me throwing away the mouse itself.
Anyways, any help would be appreciated.
(side note-unfortunately no I will not reinstall Synapse)
+1Sniper_CharlieTest it on other PC without Synapse installed. If it does the same - contact Razer support and RMA it, as the scroll encoder may be faulty.

FiszPLOh how I wish I could. Its been over a year for this mouse. I will test it though, thats a great idea, thank you!
Test it on other PC without Synapse installed. If it does the same - contact Razer support and RMA it, as the scroll encoder may be faulty.
+1Sniper_CharlieDepends on the location/shop, but mostly Razer mouses have 2 years of limited warranty.
Oh how I wish I could. Its been over a year for this mouse. I will test it though, thats a great idea, thank you!

So the scrolling is still bad, and now the middle mouse button doesnt even work unless I slam down on it. I hate to ask, but is this mouse toast or is there a way to open this and fix the scrolling? Maybe theres gunk there and needs a cleaning, or something. Either case, any suggestions would be appreciated, if I need to I can just toss it and go find another mouse. Thanks.
+1Sniper_CharlieIf you don't have warranty, then you can try opening the mouse, and cleaning the encoder directly. Middle button - if you need to slam it, then it can be damaged - but 1st try to clean, and try. If it's not working, then it's still possible to replace this button (requires soldering) at low cost.
