Naga trinity scroll wheel not working

My naga trinity scroll up and down do not work (side movements work fine). It was working fine and then the day later it just stopped. Part of me thinks it might be a windows update issue as I remember running that after a holiday (it was working prior to updates). It could also be hardware but the side scrolls work.

Tried compressed air, reinstall synapse, tried the other two side attachments etc… The Naga trinity is not listed under drivers so I cannot manually download them, where would these be located? used the windows auto install method for that.

Any help would be great thanks

Drivers should be located at C:\Program Files(x86)\Razer there will be folder(s) named PIDxxx and there’s a driver inside each folder (you can just put the main path and search subfolders when manually choosing driver location).

Hi, sadly that folder doesn’t exist. Has the mouse been discontinued and that’s why it doesn’t show on the firmware download page?

Synapse will install appropriate driver. If you don’t have Synapse installed, then install it, if it’s installed you might clean-reinstall it with the short manual below:

  1. Uninstall Synapse
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

For the scroll wheel issue - you might try your mouse on another PC (without Synapse installed).

Thanks, that’s it working.

So I've tested the mouse on two other devices (Mac and windows) and the scroll does not work so assuming this is a hardware issue? its out of warranty, did you happen to know the rough costing (£) for a fix? Debating just buying a new mouse if expensive.

Many thanks for all your help so far.

I suppose to add, is there any way to override in Synapse to allow me to change the ‘Repeat scroll down/up’ to scroll up and down and i’ll just use it that way? its not letting me change. Thanks

This should be overrideable. Have you got any screenshot of this>

If the scroll wheel is not working when connected to another PC, then it might be dead. You can try to disassembly the mouse and clean the scroll encoder with canned air and 100% IPA. But it uses 4-pin LK-E5 (optical) encoder which is hardly available.

Worked out the remap, added scrolls and turbo mode. i’ll use it like that for now - cheers

EDIT: it worked for a split second when I booted the PC then stopped hmm… disabled it for now and using the side scroll
