Orochi 2015 version

Hello all,

I have used the Orochi 2015 version for a long time but it fails me at the moment.  I tried the v2 version but it is completely different. Can someone point me to a worthy replacement ? (does not have to be Razer)

The size and shape combination was just perfect for me.

I want to avoid having to buy another expensive mouse and be dissapointed, i have the orochi v2 and also the Ouroboros but not satisfied with both.

thnx in advance

It’ll be hard to find one, because there’s no direct 1:1 shape replacement.

If Orochi V2 is not for you, and you like smaller mices then you can try Razer Cobra: https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice/razer-cobra or the Pro version if you want wireless.

What exactly is the problem with your original Orochi? If you're having problems with the switches, those can be replaced if you know how to solder. Rechargeable batteries can also be replaced but this requires certain precautions as batteries are dangerous.

I'd normally suggest looking at newer mice, but you mentioned that you love the shape of the Orochi v1 so it might be worth repairing or getting it repaired.

The real problem is that it will only work with the older synapse software.

I have also other more recent Razer devices that need the new synapse software. But I really hate that software because of the high memory usage and having both the old and the new synapse installed, also gives problems.

The other razer devices keep working after uninstalling all Synapse software, except for the Orochi v1.

I connect it through USB to the pc and I can use it, but it is unusable.  The mouse pointer barely moves if I move the mouse, so I guess this is a driver issue that the mouse is not recognized by windows?

Sounds like you need to check DPI setting, mouse sensitivity in Windows, or you might have a significant amount of dust and lint in the sensor.

My other mice functions fine when connected by usb cable (Orochi v2 + Ouroboros + random mouse). I tried adjusting it when the orochi was connected, but has no effect.  Also, when I install the old Synapse and login to the razer account, it gets recognized and works .. so I don’t think the problem has anything to do with dust?
