Hi guys ! I just bought a new Basilik Ultimate cos the battery on my previous one was starting to die on me (which is quite to be expected after a few years I guess), so I'd like to know the best way to preserve this battery ? Should I turn the mouse off when I don't use it for a period of time ? Or on the contrary, let it on ? And put it or not put it on the charger dock ? Thanks in advance for your advices !

Turning it off surely will increase battery life. I'd charge it up to 75-80%, so it'll use less charge cycles which also will increase battery longevity.

Oh ok, thanks ! But I can turn it off and still leave it on the charging dock ?

I would open it up and put a 4 battery pack in parallel. and can connect charger turned on only for recharging.

What do you mean by a "4 battery pack in parallel" ?

I noticed that better released versions have a battery of 600mAh or more. For example, joining 2 600mAh batteries in parallel will have the equivalent of 1200mAh, which means more stored energy and better charge duration and useful life.

Oh ok ! Well, that's a bit too complicated for me to do, I guess I'll just buy another mouse every 2 or 3 years then :cool_: Thanks !

That's it, next generation battery technology is coming.

That would be nice indeed, cos at first those wireless mice last a whole day, but then after a few years they only last a couple of hours...

this example is how the industry is increasing battery charge life.
