Problems/questions about mice.

I bought a Naga V2 from Amazon resale. Twice. Each time, a test programmed button only functioned intermittently. I programmed with Synapse on Windows 11. See the Amazon review below. I think there is a problem with the batch.

Anyhow, all I want is two programmable index finger buttons and a programmable wheel-click, for copy, paste and enter. I want to use the mouse on a Chrome machine, but I saw that certain functions require Synapse to be running. Presumably macros get stored on the computer.

Then I found the DeathAdder, which actually seems to match my requirements better.

If I buy a DeathAdder will it support copy, paste and enter as I want? IOW, can I program them on a Windows machine then use the mouse on Chrome? My Amazon review for the Naga follows.

I ordered this product from Amazon Resale. I returned it because it was faulty. I ordered a replacement, again from Amazon Resale, and I am returning that too, because it is also unreliable. In both cases the cursor moved the mouse around correctly, but on programming a button, I found that they worked only part of the time and the rest of the time the buttons either did nothing or performed seemingly random functions. The first mouse also failed to BlueTooth pair with one of my machines. I have been trialling them with Windows 11 and with Chrome OS.

I think that perhaps there is a fault with the batch. I also think that Amazon Returns, if they test a returned mouse, only test the basic mouse functions before passing it as being serviceable. I'm not inclined to try a third time.

A note for users of Chrome OS: I have seen people wondering if the mouse works for them. You can only configure it with a Windows machine or a Mac using the Razer Synapse program. Some programmed functions should work, but the program says that it needs to be running for the mouse to perform certain functions. Synapse is not available on Chrome for this product.
